Panama

Humiliation is when you're riding your fully geared bike down a very busy street and the entire rack falls off. Everybody and their dog stares at you and the only thing you can think of is, how the hell do I get out of this mess with my dignity still intact? This sucked and I'm sure glad it happened to Julia and not me. Luckily we were able to patch it up quickly and get out of there without too much trouble.

Not much else to say except easy riding...with a little wind, nice people and good food! We're now in Costa Rica where we hope to hit some beaches before making our way to the next country....

Columbia

We had a quick stop-over here where we spent the night in the airport and then awoke early to take a quick tour of the city before continuing on our way to Panama. No comment, except.....the sleeping in the airport was not fun.

Peru

Travelling through Peru was great! We did a bit of cycling around Lake Titicaca after venturing out to the world famous floating islands. Did you know that Lake Titicaca drains into Lake PooPoo?......Yes, I found this interesting as well. The lake itself was very scenic and is known for being the highest navigable lake in the world.

After leaving Lake BoobiePooPoo we headed north to Cuzco to get ready for our ascent into Machu Picchu. It was more amazing then we had imagined and recommend it to anyone who has the time. We´re now back in Cuzco getting ready for our flight to Panama City for our final tour of Central America. Once again we have to part with my parents but I think this time it will be easier as we´ll be seeing them, as well as everyone else in just over a month.

Julia ate one of those nasty looking rodents which are supposedly Guinea Pigs. She claimed it was tasty....I had a nibble but no comment.
